David Tomasch
David has had sawdust in his pockets since he was a child. His grandfather was a clock builder, and David spent much of his time in the wood shop learning basic skills needed to create beautiful works. His father built their home from the ground up with his own hands.
David entered the carpenter trade in in junior high school working for a family friend remodeling homes. Through high school and college, David worked his way from a framing carpenter to project manager, and finally, opening his own business building custom stair cases.
Through that time, David furthered his passion by attending JSR School of Woodworking in Hickory, NC. Sassafras Hill Studios is the culmination of years of dedication and hard work.
